After a tree of any size has been cut down its stump can only be cut close to the soil level without damaging the chainsaw. This leaves an unsightly stump in the ground that cannot be easily removed.

If the stump is on commercial or domestic ground it can often become a eyesore taking up valuable space and prevents any turf, flower bed or driveway from being put in its place. This is where the stump should be removed.

Using excavating equipment can cause a lot of damage to the surrounding area and leaving a large hole in the ground is sometimes not the best method of removal. We use a machine operated stump grinder that can fit through most normal garden gates and entrances to grind the stump back to beneath the ground level.
